Handpan and Cello

Handpan Concert – a creative collaboration between the St Helens Sinfonietta and the St Helens Borough of Culture celebrations at the URC – Tickets from Eventbrite and not via the Sinfonietta system

We are delighted to support this concert by Daniel Waples and Vicky Reid, which is part of the St Helens Borough of Culture celebrations.

These musicians will unite for an excusive one-off celebration. With Daniel’s mastery of the Hand-Pan and Vicky’s compelling cello performances, prepare to be captivated by a fusion of remarkable melodies and unparalleled artistry.

Haling from Greater London, Daniel Waples has taken the world by storm with his mesmerizing Hand-Pan skills. From humble beginnings in instrumental repair, Daniel’s passion led him to embark on a professional journey that has seen him amass over 80 million views on YouTube. With 10 albums under his belt, he has graced stages across 80 countries, captivating audiences with his transcendent sound.

Joining forces with Daniel is Liverpool-born cellist Vicky Reid, who has released music with her rock b and The Mono LPs. She regularly plays cello as part of the Echo quartet, and has worked with many other artists. With her exceptional skills and artistry, she effortlessly weaves  her music into the tapestry of the evening, enhancing the overall experience.

Adding to the enchantment is the incomparable Bill Connor, who has crafted breath-taking music for the cello.

This project is part funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the Liverpool Coty Region combined Authority as the lead authority.
