Woodside String Quartet was formed in 2010 by Tom Sykes and has performed around the North West, including a summer as the resident quartet at Liverpool One. Tom is Leader of St Helens Sinfonietta and his day job is Lecturer in Music Performance at Liverpool Hope University; the other quartet members all play and teach in Merseyside and Lancashire (please note that Nick Byrne will be playing in this concert in place of our usual cellist Vicky Reid).
Eleanor Kelly is a classical guitarist based in Merseyside. In 2021, she graduated from the prestigious Máster en Interpretación de Guitarra Clásica course in Alicante, Spain, where she studied with the world’s foremost performers and teachers. Eleanor has extensive experience as a performer. She is an International Guitar Foundation Young Artist and, earlier this year, made her London debut on the scheme premiering works commissioned for her by the IGF at Kings Place.
