Volunteers and Support

From its inception, the St Helens Sinfonietta has been run by a dedicated group of volunteers that form the management committee. As a registered charity, we are required to meet regularly and provide audited accounts. There is an AGM every November to review progress of the past year, and agree the accounts. Patrons and Members are allowed to attend this (see below)

 Currently the Management Committee is:

President: Lady Kirsty Pilkington

Chair: Joyce Clavering

Vice-chair: Janis Bill

Musical Director

Orchestra Leader:

Treasurer Janis Bill

Secretary Ian Thomas

Ticketing Secretary Lyn Wallace

Librarian John Sills

Newsletter Editor: Keith Allcock

Committee member: Ken Gutteridge:

Committee Members: Bill Connor, David Forshaw,

Orchestra Representative: Denise Burrows, Tom Sykes

The Sinfonietta could not operate without other people who volunteer to undertake tasks which allow us to provide top-class concerts in comfortable surroundings. If you wish to volunteer your time then please contact us via our email address: info@sthelenssinfonietta.co.uk We will be delighted to hear from you.

The orchestra members and soloists that provide us with such excellent live music are paid for their services. The volunteers aren’t. As such the Sinfonietta has to make charges for tickets, and depends heavily on ticket sales and the successful application to organisations that will give us grants towards specific projects. You can also support the Sinfonietta by becoming either a member or a patron.
